Vallauris pitcher
Aegitna Provençal pitcher in yellow glazed terracotta from the 1940s.
The inscription Aegitna France 15G specifies that it is a manufacture of Vallauris pottery.
This pitcher is made of "honeycomb" earthenware like the shape of the cells created by the bees. It was also produced in "burgundy" color (the color of French wine), which is the sunny yellow color always bright in the south of France.
A slight crack, due to the 80 years that have passed, is visible on the top at the level of the handle (3rd photo) and the price takes this into account. A crack, which is not a break, does not lead to a leak.
