Ces petites boîtes souvenir servaient de réserve à timbres en général. On les rangeait dans son secrétaire afin d'avoir toujours des timbres sous la main pour son courrier personnel.
L'artisan sculpteur sur bois a transmis son art tant sur la forme galbée de cet objet que sur son motif floral et sa provenance.
