Pichet à Whisky en céramique fabriqué par la poterie anglaise Seton Pottery.
Cette poterie fut fondée en 1868 par T. Gavin potier à Glasgow et J. Ritchie. Au décès de T. Gavin en 1903, la poterie ferma et fut ensuite reprise en 1905 pour fermer à nouveau en 1964.
Ce pichet anglais représente le "Cutty Sark" voilier clipper trois-mâts britannique, de l'époque victorienne, mis à l'eau en 1869. Ce navire de commerce a transporté du thé britannique de Chine, puis de la laine. Aujourd'hui c'est un navire musée, classé, mis en cale sèche au bord de la Tamise de Londres.
Ce pichet présente le "Cutty Sark" sur ses 2 faces et porte la signature "Seton Pottery".

Ceramic Whiskey Pitcher made by English Pottery Seton Pottery.
This pottery was founded in 1868 by T. Gavin, a potter in Glasgow, and J. Ritchie. When T. Gavin died in 1903, the pottery closed and was then taken over in 1905 to close again in 1964.
This English pitcher represents the "Cutty Sark", a British three-masted clipper sailboat from the Victorian era, launched in 1869. This trading ship transported British tea from China, and then wool. Today it is a museum ship, listed, drydocked on the banks of the Thames in London.
This pitcher features the "Cutty Sark" on its 2 sides and bears the signature "Seton Pottery".
