Pendentif en bronze cuivré et émail des années 1970.
Dans le bassin méditerranéen et dans différentes cultures (chypriote, phénicienne, égyptienne, byzantine,...), on retrouve l'émail sur du cuivre depuis l'antiquité. Le berceau de l'émail se situe vers moins 1500 ans av.JC et en Occident au moyen âge, l'émail servait à décorer l'or.
Le principe était le suivant : on fixait de la poudre d'émail sur un support en or, cuivre,... par le biais de la cuisson à 800°, les couleurs se révélant à différentes températures, on obtenait les motifs et colorations voulus après plusieurs cuissons.
Très joli bijou de la période hippie !

1970s copper bronze and enamel pendant.
In the Mediterranean basin and in different cultures (Cypriot, Phoenician, Egyptian, Byzantine,...), enamel has been found on copper since antiquity. The cradle of enamel dates back to around 1500 B.C. and in the West in the Middle Ages, enamel was used to decorate gold.
The principle was as follows: enamel powder was fixed on a gold, copper support,... by firing at 800°, the colours were revealed at different temperatures, the desired patterns and colourings were obtained after several firings.
